AIP is searching for meals financial institution volunteers in Victoria

The Australian Institute of Packaging (AIP) welcomes industry participants to food bank packaging in Victoria.

AIP’s Foodbank Victoria Volunteer Packing in 2019 has now set three dates in April, July and September.

The AIP team will be split into two sections – the mixed grocery baskets section, which physically packs donated groceries baskets, and the Pick Pack Food Order section, which packs groceries and household items to be distributed directly to families who are searching Aid or use in charity meal programs or community pantry programs.

The day involves significant amounts of lifting, twisting, twisting, and repetitive movements that involve packing products off a conveyor belt. Shifts last between four and five hours, include regular breaks, and begin around 9:00 a.m. and end at around 2:30 p.m. at Foodbank Victoria, 4/2 Somerville Rd, Yarraville.

Everyone is invited to attend, although limited spaces are available for each pack day, so interested parties are asked to confirm their attendance as soon as possible.
