The Joint Standing Committee on Migration will hold a series of public hearings in Melbourne, Albury and Shepparton from April 21-23, 2021.
The committee has planned an extensive program of public hearings and on-site inspections to further examine the challenges facing businesses and organizations finding and hiring skilled migrants to fill vacancies.
“The Committee looks forward to hearing from groups such as EY and CEDA who have studied this issue in depth, as well as the practical difficulties encountered by Australian business owners experienced in navigating the Qualified Migration Program,” said Leeser.
“Companies like the ones the committee will visit in regional NSW and Victoria have raised concerns about how difficult it can be to fill positions. Direct discussions with these companies will give the committee a valuable perspective on these issues. ‘
Further details of the investigation and the hearing program are available on the Committee’s website.
