So much was the leadership and hard work in Victoria that the CEO of Feeding America traveled to South Texas to say thank you.
Claire Babineaux-Fontenot, CEO of the National Headquarters of Feeding America, visited Victoria’s Food Bank of the Golden Crescent on Thursday morning. The blackboard went on and worked hard through the pandemic. All with a pleasant attitude that the Feeding America CEO likes to see.
Claire Babineaux-Fontenot, CEO Feeding America: I came to Victoria to thank the people of this remarkable community who really step in when your neighbors need you so badly. Another is too honorable and thanks to the remarkable team that you have here in your community at the Golden Crescent Food Bank. You have been at the forefront of this pandemic from the start and will be here long after the pandemic because, together with you, you serve your neighbors. “
She hopes to make Victoria a frequent stopover in the future. The Golden Crescent Table could use your donations and your time at any time if you want to do volunteer work.
