MiQ has appointed Tom Heddon as sales director for Victoria.
MiQ today announced the appointment of Tom Heddon as Sales Director for Victoria as the company continues to expand its ANZ operations.
Heddon will be responsible for enhancing and growing MiQ’s Melbourne group agencies, driving business solutions and better connecting brand and agency marketing channels to deliver the best client outcomes. He will report to Director of Holding Companies, Hannah Cooper.
Heddon joins MiQ after a 14-month consultancy for RSN Racing & Sport, leading a business transformation project across the company’s commercial, digital and content platforms. During the project, Heddon redesigned, re-built and monetised the station’s website, connecting a new content and social strategy, and driving 43% more PVs. He also commercialized the station’s digital offering and podcasts and oversaw a new go-to-market approach, tied to GfK and agency clients.
Prior to this, Heddon was the Melbourne Digital Director for Spark Foundry, part of Publicis Groupe, managing a team that looked after all agency clients including Sportsbet, PPG, Nando’s, Peters, and Kraft Heinz.
During his career, Heddon has also worked at Betfair, Training Sense, Inspire Sports Management, West Ham United FC and Ladbrokes.
MiQ ANZ Commercial Director, Fiona Roberts, said the appointment would support MiQ’s rapid expansion in the Victorian market.
“Tom is a key part of our growth strategy in Victoria as we continue to build out our team. I have no doubt he will lead our Victorian team with vigor and help support an enhanced focus on our Melbourne group agencies. Tom is highly regarded and has an extensive network in Victoria. We are thrilled to have someone with his strategic knowledge and digital skill set in Melbourne as we continue to expand our APAC operations,” she said.
Commenting on his new role, Heddon said: “The entire media landscape is moving programmatically at an incredible pace, and in my mind, MiQ is undoubtedly the leading provider of programmatic managed services in the marketplace. I’m excited to help keep driving MiQ’s global-leading solutions, to better connect brand and agency marketing channels, delivering the business outcomes that clients need. The past two years of COVID-19 have dramatically changed consumption, behaviors, and mindsets across the industry, but client service, satisfaction and hopefully a little bit of fun along the way, is still paramount to media in Australia.”
Heddon’s appointment is effective from 28 February 2022
