Derby Market Square is pretty much the only constant in the city center that has stayed the same over the years.

With the coronavirus outbreak, the area is much quieter than the normal hustle and bustle that can often be seen walking through the city every day.

The buildings that surround it have changed over the years, changing the image of the square.

But if the great structures and shops had eyes and mouths they could speak of major historical events that took place there, including Queen Victoria’s visit to Derby.
