In early 2019, Victoria Beckham, the designer, ex-Spice Girl and style icon, announced that she would be launching Victoria Beckham Beauty as another part of her high-end brand, and the time has finally arrived.
Having previously had a collaborative beauty collection with Estee Lauder, the British style icon ventured out with her very own makeup collection with co-founder, Sarah Creal. Creal had also helped Beckham on her Estee Lauder line, and it was only natural that they would join forces again to produce the direct-to-consumer luxury makeup line. Victoria Beckham Beauty’s brand philosophy and debut collection is focused on the concept of “beauty in motion,” for the women who are doing it all – the school run and business meetings – mirroring Victoria’s lifestyle.
In 2016, when she was working on her collaborative project with Estee Lauder, Victoria began to understand what it was women looked for when purchasing makeup. Victoria Beckham Beauty may only just be launching, but it has been on Victoria’s horizon for quite some time as she talked about it, “I have always been beauty obsessed, and I want to create beauty solutions that address my customers from head to toe, inside and out. It is all about making my community feel like the very best versions of themselves.” The mother of 4 and fashion entrepreneur also explained that her signature smoky eye is at the forefront of her debut makeup line.
So what can we expect from Victoria Beckham Beauty’s first collection?
The line looks to put sustainability at its forefront as well as a quality product, so one of the main items is the plastic free compact, smoky eye brick, that features all of the shades needed to recreate Victoria’s signature eye, in four matte and satin finish shades.
Another main featured item is inspired by crystals that the designer likes to keep close by, for healing and protection from negative energies – the Lip Luster, which again comes in four colours, and are infused with a different crystal for “aura amplifying energy”, and is a key part of Beckham’s signature look with its high-shine finish.
To finish her classic look, a key piece we all want is the Satin Kajal Liner, which comes in 3 colors – black, bronze and Bordeaux, in a creamy finish that is both waterproof and easy to blend. Victoria and her partner for VB Beauty, Sarah spent a lot of time and research to ensure that the collection is cruelty free and clean with eco-friendly packaging that doesn’t skimp on Victoria Beckham’s luxury, high-end branding.
