Victoria Susan Kegebein, 51, from La Porte passed away on Monday, May 17, 2021.
Vickie was born on September 19, 1969 in La Porte, Indiana, to James and Mary Patricia (McDermott) Chudzynski.
On October 15, 2011, in La Porte, Indiana, she married Steven Kegebein, who survived. Her three children, Madison Gits from West Lafayette, Michaela Gits from Michigan City, and Mitchell Gits from La Porte, also survive; three stepchildren, Brooke Kegebein from Indianapolis, Taylor Kegebein from La Porte and Tori Kegebein from La Porte; Father, James Chudzynski of La Porte; Sister Cynthia Foss of Michigan City; as well as numerous nieces and nephews.
Her mother Patricia Chudzynski preceded her in death.
Vickie was a loving, caring wife who was the light in Steve’s life. Steve loved Vickie with all his heart and enjoyed the wonderful life they shared. The loss of Vickie is devastating for Steve.
She was a devoted, loving mother. Vickie enjoyed all of the special times she spent with her children and made precious memories.
Vickie was a loving daughter and sister who loved her family and enjoyed lunch and shopping together.
Vickie was a creative party planner who added a nice, thoughtful touch to any event. She was the perfect host and made sure everyone had a great time.
She loved the frequent trips she and Steve took together to explore new places and restaurants, especially if a destination also had a sweet shop with delicious cakes … one of Vickie’s favorites. Vickie also enjoyed collecting artwork from the many places she and Steve visited. She found joy in her relaxing, peaceful journeys to the wine country.
Vickie enjoyed playing bunco with her lifelong friends who were an important part of her life.
The cremation took place with Cutler Funeral Home and Cremation Center.
A memorial service to celebrate life will take place on Friday, May 21, 2021 at the Cutler Funeral Home and Cremation Center at 7:00 p.m.
Visiting times are from 5 p.m. until the time of the service on Friday in the funeral home.
