Victoria Food Drive aims to feed those who are also struggling with housing

Quadra Village Möbelhaus is holding a drive-thru event on Saturday from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.

Max Furniture offers a collection point for grocery vouchers and non-perishable groceries to help the hungry of Cool Aid.

The ride will take place this Saturday (June 19) from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. at 3460 Quadra St. If you miss the ride but want to help the hungry, you can support the Victoria Cool Aid Society’s food program at coolaid.org/giftcards.

In-store donations, accepted in contactless drive-thru format, help those who use Cool Aid accommodations, lodging and support services.

Cool Aid works on the vision of a community where no one is forced to sleep or starve on the street and where everyone has the dignity that comes with a home, health and connectedness. More than 300 Cool Aid employees work in Victoria, Saanich and Langford, providing homes, housing, health care and other services to vulnerable residents.
