Victoria meals truck scene sprouts in entrance of the Memorial Area are

Mobile food vendors gather in the parking lot behind the Save-On-Foods Memorial Center.

Karrie Hills Dead Beetz Food Truck is joining the Tacofino Van, which the Dog Nation Food Cart will soon be joining, to create a destination for food sellers.

Darren Parker, vice president of sales for the arena, said the trucks bring some life to a quieter time during the summer months.

He hopes the patrons will take note of the upcoming events in the arena. The Select Your Tickets box office is open, as is the Team Store, which sells merchandise from the Victoria Royals ice hockey teams.

Starting this week, business card raffles for royals-related prizes will be offered in cooperation with the Food Trucks.

Visitors to the trucks can use the center’s washroom.

The center has sockets for trucks that need electricity.

Picnic tables have been set up on an island in the parking lot.

Food trucks have also sprung up all over town (with map).
