Victoria prioritizes “employees in danger” for vaccines

Victorian Chief Health Officer Professor Brett Sutton says vaccination is a priority for the most vulnerable workers and people.

“We have prioritized 10,000 Pfizer appointments for our most vulnerable workers and residents regardless of age, and AstraZeneca has plenty of capacity,” said Professor Sutton.

He said that including health care workers, all hotel quarantine workers, including medical and support personnel, as well as Australian armed forces and Victoria Police personnel.

This also applies to international border workers and their household contacts, as well as authorized officers, the Australian border forces and COVID test personnel.

“And then of course the elderly and disabled care workers and residents.

“All of this is prioritized for the vaccine. These appointments for people in these categories can now be booked via the coronavirus hotline.
